About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Nascetta vines grow in the commune of Novello at 350 m above sea level.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in late September. The must is fermented partly in stainless-steel tanks (70%) and partly in oak barrels (30%).
Ageing
The wine matures for six months in stainless-steel tanks, followed by six months in French barriques and a further three months in bottle in the winery’s cellars.
Label / history
“Anas-Chetta” was first mentioned in the second half of the 19th century as a historic wine of Novello. After gathering traditional knowledge from older local producers, Elvio Cogno began making limited quantities from old recipes in 1994.
