About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from Ravera, a vineyard in the commune of Novello, known for its distinctive limestone soil. The soil gives the wine graceful elegance and a firm structure.
Vinification
The grapes are carefully selected in the vineyard. Fermentation is temperature-controlled and relatively long, with regular automatic pump-overs, and is followed by post-fermentation maceration.
Ageing
The wine spends 24 months in large Slavonian oak casks of 25–30 hl, which add depth and finesse while keeping the wine fresh and leaving considerable potential for development. It then rests a further 6 months in bottle, after which its qualities come fully into focus.
Tasting profile
Deep and juicy in its early years, with a characteristic seriousness and an authentic sense of place. With age it develops new layers and becomes more refined. The style is a harmonious expression of classic Barolo, with a modern focus on balancing power, freshness and complexity. Made for long ageing, it is expected to show deeper, more subtle nuances over time.
