About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Montepulciano grapes are selected from vineyards in the municipalities of Ortona, San Salvo and Pollutri, on the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo. The vines face southeast and grow in clay-limestone soils.
Vinification
After harvest the grapes are gently crushed and destemmed, then macerated for up to 4 days at low temperatures. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled 24–26 °C for 8–10 days.
