Ageing
As a Riserva, the wine matures for three years in large French-oak casks, followed by one year in 500 l French-oak tonneaux. It then ages for 12 months in bottle.
Technical data
Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG. Alcohol: 13–14%. Bottle format: 1.5 l magnum.
Tasting profile
The colour is a deep, bright ruby red, developing garnet nuances with age. The broad, highly persistent aroma recalls liquorice and forest berries. The palate is full and persistent, with soft, elegant tannins.
