About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The wine is assembled from three vineyards within the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba, covering 3 hectares in total. The vines were planted between 1959 and 1995 at an altitude of 320 metres, with south and south-west exposures. The soils are limestone-clay, and yields are 6,000–6,500 kg per hectare.

Grapes

100% Nebbiolo.

Vinification

Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks for approximately 18–20 days.

Ageing

Traditional maturation for 24 months in large Slavonian oak casks with capacities of 25–30 hl. This élevage brings accessibility and elegance to the characteristic structure and tannins associated with Serralunga d’Alba.

Technical data

Annual production is approximately 16,000 bottles.

Tasting profile

Garnet in colour with orange highlights. The complex bouquet combines leather, hay, earth and spices. Acidity and tannins are balanced on the palate, contributing softness and good persistence.
