About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from hillside plots in Roverè della Luna and the Pressano hills of Lavis. Vines are trained on the simple Trentino pergola and grow in sandy-loam and clay-loam soils.

Grapes

100% Traminer Aromatico. The variety has small, compact, short and sometimes winged bunches with amber-pink berries, fleshy pulp and an aromatic flavour.

Vinification

After harvest, the grapes undergo a brief cold maceration followed by immediate gentle pressing. Fermentation proceeds at controlled temperature without malolactic fermentation.

Ageing

Maturation takes place in stainless steel.

Tasting profile

Deep straw yellow tending toward gold. The intense, distinctive aromatic bouquet evokes roses, cloves, spices and exotic fruit. The palate is aromatic, fine and delicate yet full in structure, finishing with a pleasant, soft and fresh aftertaste.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 10–12°C and open at the time of service. Suitable as an intensely aromatic aperitif and with vegetable or apple risotto, asparagus, prawns and other shellfish, prosciutto with figs, melon, pâtés and mousses, white meats and cooked-curd cheeses. Best enjoyed within two to three years of bottling.
