About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Vernaccia, together with a small proportion of Manzoni, is grown across all of the winery's vineyards: Larniano, Montagnana, Santa Margherita and Lazzeretto. The farming is organic.

Grapes

Manzoni makes up at most 5% of the blend; the rest is Vernaccia.

Vinification

The grapes are gently pressed on arrival at the winery. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at 19 °C.

Ageing

The wine rests on its lees in steel tanks for at least 3 months.

Tasting profile

Fragrant aromas and a balanced, lasting taste. The style is modern.

Label / history

Panizzi has made Vernaccia di San Gimignano since 1989, the winery's first vintage.

Vintage notes

The 2023 vintage received a WineHunter Award in Merano and was named a Slow Wine Best Buy in 2024.
