About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from several vineyard plots in the Bussia area, across Castiglione Falletto and Monforte d'Alba. The plots lie at 250–450 m above sea level and have a planting density of 5,000 vines per hectare.

Vinification

The grapes are hand-harvested into small baskets, gently pressed and macerated on the skins. Alcoholic fermentation begins spontaneously with native yeasts, without added sulfates.

Ageing

The wine rests on its lees in small oak barrels for 18 months. After bottling, it undergoes further ageing in cellars maintained at a constant 15 °C.
