About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from several vineyards in Monforte d'Alba and Castiglione Falletto, at 250–450 m above sea level.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and placed in small perforated baskets. After gentle pressing, the must undergoes a long maceration. Alcoholic fermentation begins spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, without added sulfites, at controlled temperatures.

Ageing

The wine matures on its lees in small oak barrels for at least 18 months. After release, three to four years of further ageing allow it to soften and become harmonious.

Tasting profile

The wine has real depth and a broad, expressive aroma.
