Vineyard and terroir

The wine comes from 4 ha of vineyards situated at an average altitude of 400 m above sea level. The soils are composed of galestro and alberese, described in English as marly and limestone. Planting density is 5,000 vines per hectare. The vines are trained to spur-pruned cordon at a height of 0.80 m.

Grapes

100% Sangiovese grosso.

Vinification

Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in oak barrels.

Ageing

The wine matures for three years in French oak barrels.
