About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from 20–30-year-old vines at Castelluccio in the Romagna Apennines, between Faenza and Forlì. The estate’s well-exposed vineyards grow on marl soils.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese.
Ageing
Maturation takes place exclusively in stainless-steel tanks, followed by approximately two months in bottle.
Technical data
The 2009 vintage has 12.5% alcohol and a production of 50,000 bottles.
Tasting profile
A moderately deep ruby red. Red-fruit aromas introduce a youthful, direct wine. The palate is fresh and balanced, faithfully echoing the fruit of the bouquet and carrying through to a moderately persistent finish.
