About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from Ruffoli in Greve in Chianti. The vineyards occupy terraced hillsides at an average elevation of 450 m, with west-to-southwest exposure. Their sandy, silty soils contain abundant rocky material. The vines average more than 20 years of age and are trained to Guyot and spurred cordon systems. Vittorio Fiore and his sons cultivate the vineyards.
Grapes
Sangiovese di Lamole. The wine is conceived as an expression of the grape and the high hillside of Ruffoli within Chianti Classico.
Vinification
Harvest takes place during the first half of October. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are carried out in lined cement vats.

The wine matures for 10 months in lined cement vats. Bottling takes place in July, followed by at least three months of bottle maturation.
