About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown mainly in the terroir around the town of Lessona. The soil is fine, sandy and light brown with a low pH, over an ancient seabed, in the shadow of the Alps.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested and sorted by hand, destemmed and gently pressed, then moved by gravity to the fermentation vat. Skin contact lasts 12 hours.
Ageing
After fermentation the wine matures for some time on its lees in stainless steel tanks, then ages further in bottle.
Tasting profile
Very appealing when young, it opens up further with time in the bottle.
