Il ‘Di Vasco’ comes from a single selected vineyard and is made only in the best vintages.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese, locally identified as Brunello.
Ageing
The wine matures for 26 months in oak vessels holding 20–40 hl, followed by 14 months in bottle.
Technical data
Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG. Production is limited to 5,000 bottles.
Tasting profile
Vivid ruby red, with aromas of fresh fruit and spices. The palate is robust and persistent.
Serving and pairing
Pair with red meats, game, roasts, salumi and aged cheeses. Bottles should be stored away from light and temperature fluctuations at 15–18°C. Adequate oxygenation before serving helps the wine show at its best.
Label / history
The wine is named for Vasco Mantengoli, who conceived and cultivated the vineyard from which it originates.
