Ageing

Matured for 4–5 months in oak; the Italian specification describes the vessels more precisely as barriques. Bottle maturation lasts a further 2–3 months.

Tasting profile

Brilliant, deep ruby red. The nose is pleasant, fresh and fragrant. The palate is intense and savoury, with good structure and pronounced tannins. The style is intended to express the fragrance and freshness of Sangiovese grown in Montalcino.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 18 °C, preferably from a carafe. Suitable throughout a meal and especially with grilled red meat.
