About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Ines is sourced entirely from vineyards used for Brunello and is made only in special vintages.

Grapes

100% Sangiovese, locally identified as Brunello.

Ageing

The wine matures in oak vessels of various sizes, followed by 4 months in bottle. No duration is specified for the period in oak.

Technical data

Rosso di Montalcino DOC. Production totals 6,000 bottles.

Tasting profile

Brilliant, deep ruby red, with a fresh and fragrant nose. The palate is well structured and intense, with silky, flavourful tannins. Its combination of freshness and maturity brings it stylistically closer to Brunello.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 18°C, preferably from a carafe. Pair with first courses dressed with traditional Tuscan ragù and with red meat.

Label / history

Produced as an upper-tier Rosso di Montalcino, the wine takes its identity from Ines and is intended to reflect the strength of her personality.
