About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyard was located in the municipality of Monforte d’Alba. The wine resulted from a one-year collaboration with a local grower and was represented by the 2007 vintage.
Grapes
Nebbiolo.
Vinification
The fruit was harvested by hand in small crates once physiological maturity had been reached, with ripeness assessed through the grape seeds. Two manual selections preceded vinification. Fermentation took place exclusively in wooden vats with a pied de cuve prepared from indigenous yeasts and lasted about 10 days. This was followed by approximately 60–70 days of submerged-cap maceration.
Ageing
Approximately five years in neutral oak and concrete vats.
