About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Case Nere is identified as the vineyard associated with this Barolo.
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation starts spontaneously without inoculated yeast and lasts between 10 and 30 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks. The wine is then transferred to wood and is bottled without filtration. No substances intended to alter colour, structure, aroma or tannin are used during cellar operations; sulphites at bottling are normally below half the legally permitted quantity.
Ageing
Barolo is intended to be consumed after at least 5–6 years of bottle maturation and can evolve slowly over 20–30 years under optimal storage conditions.
