About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The selected fruit comes from vineyards in Castiglione Falletto, planted at 300–400 m above sea level. The soils are difficult to work and rich in a variety of trace elements. The vines are 10–40 years old.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, carefully sorted at the winery and crushed. Maceration lasts 4–6 weeks, followed by fermentation in stainless-steel vats at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine matures for six months in stainless-steel vats, followed by 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
Tasting profile
The palate is rich and expressive.
Serving and pairing
A good match for meat dishes and mature cheeses.
