About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the southeast-facing "Rocche di Castiglione" vineyard.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully sorted before destemming and crushing. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, followed by an extended maceration of 4–7 weeks with the skins submerged. Natural malolactic fermentation occurs at 20 °C.
Ageing
The wine rests for 2–4 months in steel tanks, followed by two years in oak barrels and another 4–6 months in steel. It then ages for a further six months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Rich and layered, with fruity and spicy aromas, lively acidity and well-balanced tannins.
