About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow near Novello at 420–450 m above sea level. The vines average 20 years of age.
Grapes
The fruit is carefully selected.
Vinification
The wine is made in southeastern Italy. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in stainless-steel vats for 4–7 weeks. Malolactic fermentation follows at 20 °C.
Ageing
The wine rests in stainless-steel tanks for 2–4 months, then in large Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months. It returns to stainless-steel vats for a further 4–6 months and spends at least six months in the winery’s cellars after bottling.
