About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyard is in the village of Perno, in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, at 270–400 m above sea level. Its sandy clay soils support vines averaging 30 years old, planted at a density of 4,000 plants per hectare.
Grapes
The wine is made from selected grapes.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, followed by natural malolactic fermentation at 20 °C.
Ageing
The wine matures for 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by six months in bottle.

Vintage notes
The 2011 vintage received gold medals at the Berliner Wein Trophy and Asia Wine Trophy, and silver medals at the Decanter Asia Wine Awards and Mundus Vini.
