About this wine
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in the first half of October. Traditional vinification includes malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for six months in French oak barrels, followed by a further two years in bottle before release.
Label / history
The name Tre Confini, meaning “three borders” in Italian, expresses the aim of breaking down the divisions between the three wine-producing areas of Upper Piedmont: the provinces of Novara, Vercelli and Biella. Its creators conceived it as an unconventional, everyday-drinking expression rather than a wine for long-term cellaring.
