About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The organically farmed fruit comes from vines around 50 years old in a sunny vineyard in Tendone, where pronounced temperature changes accompany ripening. The vineyard’s natural balance and organic cultivation allow the grapes to develop rich fruit and floral qualities.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in mid-October at their peak aromatic concentration. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation to soften the acidity and round out the texture.
Ageing
The wine matures for six months in concrete tanks, stabilizing its flavour while retaining its fruit character without imparting oak notes. It then spends 18 months in small 50-litre wooden barrels, which add structure, refined spice and maturity. After bottling, it rests for at least six months before release.
Tasting profile
Concentrated and warm, with aromas of ripe berries and woody notes. The palate has rounded texture, gentle depth, structured character, refined spice and mature fruit.
