Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in the Brachetto d’Acqui region, also known as Acqui.
Grapes
Brachetto is the only grape variety cultivated in the region.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and undergo primary fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. The wine is then made by the Italian Charmat method, with a second fermentation of the base wine with sugar and yeast in sealed autoclaves.
Tasting profile
Lightly sparkling, with an intense fragrance and a pleasantly sweet flavour.

Label / history
According to legend, the region’s winemaking history dates to the Roman Empire. Ancient historians writing about the lives and customs of the people of Gaul mentioned a sweet, aromatic wine called “Il Vinum Acquense”, reportedly favoured by patricians and considered an aphrodisiac.
