About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in the Atri area on limestone and clay soils. The vineyards are trained using the Guyot system. Villa Medoro owns 92 ha of vineyards.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in the first half of October and macerated for 20 days, followed by 20 days of fermentation in stainless-steel vats.
Ageing
The wine ages for 4–6 months.
Tasting profile
The wine has notes of ripe dark fruit.
Label / history
Medoro is a small village near Atri, close to the Teramo hills overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The Medoro family has made wine there since the early 1970s. In 1997, the estate began a new chapter under Federico, the family's third generation. The estate produces 300,000 bottles annually.
