About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow around Atri and Cellino in Abruzzo, in vineyards with clay and limestone soils. The vines are trained using the Guyot system.
Vinification
Harvest takes place from late September to early October. After sorting, the grapes undergo cold maceration for 8–10 hours at 5–6 °C, followed by fermentation in stainless-steel tanks at 14–16 °C. Malolactic fermentation is prevented.
Ageing
The wine rests in bottle.
Label / history
The Medoro family has made wine near Atri since the early 1970s. In 1997, Federico, the family's third generation, began a new chapter for Villa Medoro. The estate comprises 92 hectares of vineyards and produces 300,000 bottles annually.
