About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the namesake Monti Furchi vineyards in the Monferrato area. Yields are reduced naturally, promoting high sugar levels in the grapes and eliminating the need for later sucrose addition.
Grapes
The vineyards are planted with grapes known as “SuperAsti”, grown specifically for sparkling-wine production.
Vinification
The wine is made by the Charmat method. Secondary fermentation takes place in double-walled tanks with capacities exceeding 5,000 litres; heat is supplied through the space between the walls.
