About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the winery’s vineyards in the Torre area. The cool climate contributes fruity aromas, firm tannins and good acidity.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in mid-October at optimal ripeness. Maceration lasts about 20 days, followed by controlled-temperature fermentation in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine ages for one year in French oak barrels and a further 10 months in bottle.

Elegant, with fruity aromas, firm tannins and good acidity.
Serving and pairing
It may be served as an aperitif or paired with pasta, first courses featuring venison, red or white meat, and aged cheeses.
Label / history
During the Middle Ages, Lavello was known as “Labellum.” The town developed from the settlement of the Roman town of Forentum. Its name derives from the Latin “labrum,” meaning “barrel.”
