Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards extend over 65 ha between the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, in the Alpine foothills of Treviso. They occupy south-facing mountain slopes exposed to the sun’s warmth. Pesticide use is kept to a minimum, and production relies solely on renewable energy.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in September and gently pressed. The juice ferments slowly with yeast at 10 °C for four months. A second fermentation then takes place in pressurised tanks at 15–16 °C, followed by cold stabilisation and microfiltration.
Ageing
After bottling, the wine rests in the cellar for one month.
Label / history
The vineyards have belonged to the Collalto family for more than 1,000 years.
