Vineyard and terroir
The estate’s 65 ha of vineyards lie in the Alpine foothills of Treviso, between the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. The vines grow on sunny, south-facing mountain slopes. The estate uses only renewable energy and keeps pesticide use to a minimum.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in September and gently pressed. The juice ferments slowly with yeast at 10 °C for four months. A second fermentation then takes place in autoclaves at 15–16 °C, followed by cold stabilisation and microfiltration.
Ageing
After bottling, the wine rests in the cellar for one month.
Label / history
The vineyards have belonged to the Collalto family for more than 1,000 years.
