Storia
1967 – Foundation\nGiovanni Carlo Sacchet and Antonio Mario Zaccheo founded Carpineto in 1967, with the goal of creating a world-renowned Chianti Classico, an ambitious and unconventional idea at the time. The two partners saw great potential in Tuscany, where they could make excellent wines using the most advanced technology available and raise the region's quality standards.\n\n### Growth into an international brand\nUnder the leadership of the two founders, Carpineto grew into an international brand that now exports to 70 countries. The wines became known for their rich character, good aging potential, and consistently high quality, earning consumer recognition, strong reviews from critics, and numerous awards and honors over the years. The red wines, described as the company's pride, are often aged beyond the 6–12 months required by production regulations; most of them are aged for three years or more before release. Around 95% of Carpineto's output is red wine.\n\n### Present day\nToday, Carpineto produces around 3 million bottles a year. Sacchet and Zaccheo, together with their families, continue to combine traditional and innovative approaches, experimenting and exploring new ways to express Tuscany's terroir and history. The Carpineto range includes wines from the most prestigious DOCG appellations as well as varietal wines with excellent structure.
