1940s\nThe Caudrina estate was founded by Rediento Dogliotti, Romano Dogliotti's father. He grew grapes and made must from each harvest, which he sold to some of the leading Moscato d'Asti producers.\n\n### Late 1970s\nRomano Dogliotti joined the family business, and the quality of the grapes improved dramatically. He began making his own Moscato, which brought the winery recognition and success.\n\n### Later expansion\nRomano Dogliotti bought a Barbera vineyard in Nizza Monferrato.\n\n### Today\nThe estate makes both sweet sparkling wine and still red wine. Romano is joined in the business by his wife and three sons. All Caudrina di Romano Dogliotti wines are classified as DOC or DOCG.
