Storia
1952 – Founding
Cembra Cantina di Montagna was founded in 1952 by a group of winemakers.
Today
The winery has grown to around 400 members who are dedicated to growing grapes and making wine. It is recognized as one of the highest wineries of its kind and a symbol of the Alpine region and mountain winemaking. It now carries the SQNPI guarantee, which helps preserve the biodiversity and beauty of the land where vineyards have been grown for centuries.
Terroir
The winery is located 700 meters above sea level, making it one of the highest wineries of its kind. Its vineyards lie within Europe's most important porphyry basin, where the soils give the wines distinctive flavor, minerality, and persistence.
Vinificazione
Production follows the Province of Trento's Integrated Production System Protocol, which calls for minimal use of chemicals and respect for environmental protection principles. The winery also carries the SQNPI guarantee, which helps preserve the biodiversity and beauty of the land where vineyards have been grown for centuries.
The wines reflect a winemaking tradition that brings nature and technique together, expressing the flavors and aromas of the porphyry basin and the mountain community's commitment to preserving its finest traditions and the value of the land.
