Questo vino

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from Russiz Superiore in Capriva del Friuli, within the Collio DOC area. The hilly terrain originated during the Eocene and consists of alternating sandstone and loam rock containing limestone and clay. Its impermeability encourages rainwater to run over the surface, limiting erosion and preventing standing water. The vines are Guyot trained.

Grapes

Pinot Bianco.

Vinification

The grapes are picked entirely by hand and destemmed. Must and pulp undergo cold maceration at controlled temperature, followed by gentle pressing to separate the juice from the skins. Approximately 20% of the must ferments in oak barrels, while the remaining 80% ferments in stainless-steel vats.

Ageing

The wine matures on its lees for six months, followed by several additional months in bottle.

Technical data

Alcohol is approximately 13.5%. Available formats are 0.75 L and 1.5 L.

Tasting profile

Straw yellow. The intense bouquet combines fruit and flowers, led by ripe peach, apple, white-fleshed fruit, wildflowers and broom. The palate is full and elegant.
