Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from vineyards in the Valdevani and Boglietto districts of Vinchio. The soil is sandy, with substantial proportions of silt and veins of clay. This sandy setting is used to emphasize Barbera’s fruit and freshness.
Grapes
100% Barbera.
Vinification
Summer green harvesting is followed by manual picking in September into perforated 25 kg crates. The grapes undergo a second manual selection on a vibrating table and are softly pressed. Skin contact lasts 6–8 days in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks with automated pump-overs and punch-downs. The entire vinification takes place in steel, with fermentation controlled at 24°C to preserve an immediate, vibrant fruit profile.
Ageing
Malolactic fermentation follows racking. The wine then remains in stainless-steel tanks for at least 4–6 months and is bottled in the spring after harvest.
