Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
Fruit comes from the Pratone, Barek, Brolo, Palo and Nespoli crus. The vineyards are exposed to air currents generated by heat exchange between the plain and Lake Iseo. The vines average 18 years of age.
Grapes
The blend includes around 20% reserve wines.
Vinification
The grapes are hand-harvested into small crates, sorted at the winery and gently pressed. Only the first-press juice is used, amounting to 48% of the total volume. Each plot is vinified separately. The first fermentation takes place between September and February in stainless-steel tanks and 250-litre oak barrels, followed by a second fermentation in bottle.
Ageing
The wine spends at least 36 months on the lees.
Tasting profile
Harmonious and elegant, with a long finish and a broad range of aromas and flavours.
Label / history
Created in 1985 after extensive research and the selection of fruit from several Monte Rossa crus.
