About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the family’s younger Nebbiolo vineyards distributed across Barbaresco and Neive, together with the Meruzzano geographical mention in San Rocco Seno d’Elvio, Alba. Exposures range from south-east to south-west. The soils consist of marl and limestone, with varying proportions of clay and sand.
Grapes
100% Nebbiolo. Grapes from the different parcels are vinified as a blend.
Ageing
The wine matures for about 20 months in oak casks, followed by a few months of refinement in bottle.
Tasting profile
An elegant expression of Barbaresco intended for greater versatility at the table and for a broader range of drinking occasions. Its style places less emphasis on extended longevity than the estate’s vineyard-designated Barbarescos.
