About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the hills of Barbaresco and San Rocco Seno d’Elvio in Alba. The vineyards range in exposure from east to southwest and have marly soils dominated by limestone, with thin veins of sand. The vines were planted between 1960 and 1978.
Grapes
100% Dolcetto. Both the grape and the resulting wine belong to the area’s traditional viticultural heritage and express its diminishing biodiversity.
Ageing
The wine matures for a few months in steel tanks.
Tasting profile
A youthful red with ruby and violet hues. Its fragrant aromas span floral and fruity notes. The palate is full, harmonious and elegant, finishing with a pleasant bitter note.
