About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Currà is a 4-hectare vineyard in Neive, acquired in 2001. Its position, terrain and microclimate give an elegant wine with harmonious tannins. The estate began placing particular confidence in the site in 2012.
Grapes
Nebbiolo.
Vinification
Vinification takes place in stainless steel over 20–25 days. The vineyard yield is 40 hl/ha.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in French oak barriques and then for another 12 months in French oak barrels.
Tasting profile
Ruby in colour with garnet reflections. The aroma combines currant and raspberry with fresh floral impressions of rose and geranium. The palate is precise and linear, with silky tannins and a long finish.
Label / history
The name Currà refers to the parish priest of Neive: curato in Italian and curà in Piedmontese. The land is believed to have once belonged to the Church.
