About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Nebbiolo comes from the Rabajà cru in the village of Barbaresco. Its soils combine clay and tuff with marl and limestone, while the vines average approximately 50–60 years of age.
Grapes
100% Nebbiolo.
Vinification
Vinified in stainless-steel tanks for approximately 20–25 days. The published production level is 40 hl/ha.
Ageing
Matured for 12 months in French oak barriques and then for another 12 months in large French oak casks.
Tasting profile
Deep, intense garnet red. Rosehip and violet mingle with buttery nuances before raspberry and cherry emerge. The palate is warm and enveloping, with soft, broad tannins, an elegant structure and a long finish that recalls the aromas found on the nose.
