About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Nebbiolo comes from the Rabajà cru in the village of Barbaresco. Its vines average approximately 50–60 years of age and grow in clay and tuff soils containing marl and limestone. Production is limited to 40 hl/ha.

Grapes

100% Nebbiolo.

Vinification

Vinified in stainless-steel tanks for 20–25 days.

Ageing

Matured for 12 months in French oak barriques and then for 12 months in large French oak casks.

Tasting profile

Deep, intense garnet red. Rosehip and violet notes wrap around buttery nuances before opening toward raspberry, cherry and black cherry. The palate is warm and mouth-filling, with soft, broad tannins, an elegant and ample structure, and a long finish that recalls the aromas found on the nose.
