About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie in Verduno at approximately 270–350 m above sea level. Vines up to 70 years old grow in pale, limestone-rich marl. The soils and elevation promote even ripening while preserving freshness, concentration and finesse.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, transported to the winery in small crates to preserve their integrity, and carefully selected. After destemming, the must moves by gravity into open French oak vats and ferments with native yeasts. Maceration includes gentle pump-overs and controlled temperatures for delicate extraction of flavour and aroma. Malolactic fermentation follows.
Ageing
The wine matures for 20–33 months, depending on the vintage, in large oak casks from the Allier region. It then rests in bottle for at least nine months before release.
Tasting profile
Pure aromas and distinctive minerality lead into a cohesive structure. The wine opens gradually, combining freshness with depth.
