About this wine
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness and fermented in neutral vats at the winery.
Ageing
The wine matures for 18 months in large oak casks, developing fruity notes and richness of flavour.

Label / history
The wine takes its name from Matthias, the winemaker’s eldest son. Its label was created by Italian artist Gianni Gallo, who began working with the Vietti winery in 1970; it reflects his distinctive style.
