About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow in Novello at 420 metres above sea level, on clay and sandy soils. The vines are at least 20 years old.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness and partially destemmed at the winery. Fermentation takes place in concrete vats.

Ageing

The wine matures for 36 months in large oak casks, followed by 12 months in ceramic amphorae and 24 months in bottle in the winery’s cellars.

Tasting profile

Distinctive fruit notes accompany a rich flavour.

Label / history

The label was created by Italian artist Gianni Gallo, who began working with the Vietti winery in 1970.
