About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow on alkaline volcanic soils in the commune of Ronca, within the Lessini Durello wine-growing area. The favourable climate and volcanic soils give the grapes their distinctive flavour.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into small crates in late September or early October. Whole bunches are pressed, and the must undergoes primary fermentation in Austrian oak barrels at a controlled temperature. The wine is produced by the classic method.
Ageing
The wine matures in French and Austrian oak barrels. The final blend is assembled the following spring with a small quantity of older reserve wines, then bottled for secondary fermentation and aged for at least 50 months. After disgorgement, it rests for approximately six further months.
Tasting profile
Refreshing, with fine, persistent bubbles and complex aromas.
