About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from two sites in the municipality of Barolo: 2.2 hectares in Cannubi Boschis and 0.6 hectares in Cannubi. Cannubi Boschis was planted in stages between 1967 and 1990, while the Cannubi parcel was planted in 2016.

This historic vineyard combines Tortonian and Helvetian soils originating in different geological eras, creating a particularly complex and rich growing environment. Its substantial sandy component contributes intense, fruit-led aromas in youth that become increasingly spicy as the wine develops.

Grapes

100% Nebbiolo da Barolo.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks equipped with automatic pump-over systems and lasts 25–30 days.

Ageing

The wine matures for at least three years in traditional, large-capacity Slavonian oak barrels of 5,000 litres.

Tasting profile

Dry, full and full-bodied, with moderately assertive tannins. Its aromatic expression begins with intense fruit and develops more pronounced spicy nuances with evolution.

Serving and formats

Serve at 16–17°C. Available in 750 mL bottles, 1.5 L magnums and 3 L jeroboams.
