About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The 0.83 ha vineyard lies in the municipality of La Morra. The Rinaldi family acquired this historic Rocche dell’Annunziata site in 1969, and its vines were planted between 1970 and 1983. The highest part reaches approximately 280 m above sea level.
The soil consists of sandstone and calcareous conglomerates, formations associated with the name “rocche,” or rocks, and providing effective water drainage. This section contains more sand than the upper part of the cru.
Grapes
100% Nebbiolo for Barolo.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place for 25–30 days in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats fitted with automatic pump-over systems.
Ageing
The wine matures for at least three years in large 5,000 L Slavonian oak barrels.
Technical data
Available in 750 mL bottles. Recommended serving temperature: 16–17 °C.
Tasting profile
Warm, harmonious and persistent on the palate. The relatively sandy soils contribute fine, ethereal aromas marked by rose and violet. Sweet-spice nuances accompany good minerality and notably elegant tannins.
