About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Fenocchio family has farmed a 5-hectare plot in the Bussia cru at Monforte d'Alba for more than 30 years. The vineyard has a southerly exposure with steady sunlight and iron-rich clay-limestone soil.
Vinification
The wine undergoes a long maceration without rigid technological parameters, followed by spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts.
Ageing
It rests for 6 months in stainless-steel tanks, then 30 months in Slavonian oak casks, followed by a further period in bottle.
Tasting profile
The wine has complex, intriguing aromas and a characterful palate that unfolds in unexpected ways. The 2021 vintage is dense and serious, with a distinctive personality.

Decant for 1–2 hours before serving.
