About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from the Fenocchio family’s 5 ha plot in the Bussia cru at Monforte d’Alba, which the family has farmed for more than 30 years. The vineyard has a southern exposure and receives steady sunlight. Its soils consist of iron-rich clay and limestone, contributing structure and complexity.

Vinification

The wine undergoes a long maceration whose duration is determined without a fixed technical schedule, followed by spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts.

Ageing

Ageing begins with six months in stainless-steel vats, followed by at least 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels and further maturation in bottle.

Tasting profile

The aroma is complex and intriguing. The palate is elegant, complex and velvety.

Serving and pairing

Decant for several hours before serving to allow time and oxygen to open the wine.
