About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Nebbiolo comes from vineyards in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, situated at 300–380 metres and facing south-east. The marly-limestone soils contain a prevalence of sand and silt.
Grapes
100% Nebbiolo.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, pressed and then destemmed. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature in stainless-steel tanks, with an 8–10-day maceration. Malolactic fermentation follows.
Ageing
After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures in large barrels.
Tasting profile
